Healing & Moving Forward

Angela Shelton's Sword of TraumaAfter years of traveling with my documentary, I was not only thrown into the world of trauma and recovery, I became fascinated with healing. Not only did I want to heal from my own abusive past, I wanted to help others find healing. I was coming from Hollywood to do what I thought was a quick little documentary (CUE LAUGH TRACK), but once I began listening to people’s stories across the country I realized that everyone (even producers back in Hollywood) were going through some kind of trauma.

I began researching healing techniques for everything from panic attacks to anger issues and became a bit of an expert after talking to over 30,000 survivors and people working in trauma and recovery.

In an effort to keep my personal site separate from my cause, I created The Survivor Manual that has much more extensive information. But below are a collection of things I have posted or filmed about healing. Hope it helps you. Feel free to share with people you know who may need it.

Ever since I did your Daily Journey, I have not abused myself.  Thank you for making me keep my promise. I know it wasn’t you, it was me like you say but you sure helped.  And you make me laugh. I needed that. I look forward to your comedies. Oregon
