Oh wow, what a blast from the past. Had to share this. I spent my teens with dyed jet black hair listening to goth music, wearing Dr. Martens and blood red lipstick. Yeah, that’s right. I do believe in angels though. I love how and where Nick Cave was inspired to write this. You never know what’s going to happen in life and what little moments will inspire you or alter your path.
I went on a Bible Road trip to read the big book across the country with a filmmaker. We ended up staying in California and our lives went in completely different directions, blessed in their own way. I took the path to writing and directing comedy and he got an opportunity to write and direct a horror film.
Life is funny. I love what is in my arms now and the fabulous turns my life has taken me on. I’m still reading the Bible by the way until I finish it. I’m just reading in private. And ps, I love Nick Cave and I still have my knee high lace up Dr. Marten boots. They are covered in playa dust.
