Though Angela Shelton speaks about heavy subjects like sexual abuse and violence,
her events are always uplifting, joyful, fun and funny!

I Am An Orator
Here’s the thing – trauma is depressing.
When people start rattling off the numbers of sexual abuse victims and unreported crimes some audiences zone out, stare at the floor, go into panic mode or puke. I’ve literally seen that happen – a woman had a panic attack and threw up listening to horrible “facts.”
I do things totally differently!
As a survivor of sexual abuse who became a thriver – I educate and entertain audiences by telling real life stories that inspire healing and awareness.
Yes, I share facts and some heavy information about sexual abuse and violence BUT then I share inspiring stories and fun healing techniques you will remember forever!
My events are tear jerkers with big laughs. The laughs come from me being very honest about how horrible life can be if you don’t heal and get better. Why do people laugh? Because they can relate!
Where Do I Speak?
I have spoken and inspired audiences of all ages from Congress, universities, Air Force bases, high schools, elementary schools, community centers, conferences and seminars worldwide.
A longer list of some places I have spoken at is on the bottom of this page.

Though she takes on serious issues, Angela Shelton is joyous, irreverent, funny, and feisty!
Keynote Speeches
I pair down my hour long talk to a 10-20 minute speech for fundraisers, benefits and conferences.
Boy am I good at raising money too – and I LOVE to help. Once I raised one million dollars in 10 minutes for an organization in Boston. Weeee! That totally made my day. I spoke at a Women Helping Women Fund and raised more than their town’s blueberry festival!
If you tell me your last year’s budget, I take it as a personal challenge to beat it. I don’t even get a percentage, I just love seeing organizations who need the money – get it.
Big Events
I believe healing is an act of revolution and healing should be available to everyone.
Do you know how expensive some whackadoodle healers are? WOW! For years, I went and tried so many healing techniques that I was almost healed out. But I wanted to test out all different kinds so I could share what worked and what didn’t with you!
I summed all that I learned up with the Sword of Trauma and wrote a Healing Workbook to go along with it.
Trauma is like being pierced with a sword. You can live like that for the rest of your life, wounded. Or you can remove the sword (OWWWUCH!), heal the wound (I share loads of ways to do that) and then use your sword – metaphorically – as your pen, your camera, your microphone, your paintbrush etc.
Workshops and Schools
This event is also great for children and teens and covers ways to avoid bullying and gossip.
It is also perfect for those working in the trauma field from social workers, nurses, law enforcement officers, and therapists.
This event is also available as an interactive workshop to go with the Healing Workbook:

Have Questions?
How Did You Begin?
Searching for Angela Shelton propelled me into the face of the epidemic of sexual and domestic violence.
I went from thinking my movie was going to be funny to being mortified that 70% of the Angela Shelton’s I interviewed had been victims of child sexual abuse, rape, and/or domestic violence. That is not funny!
When I began hearing thousands of stories from people around the globe and realized that sexual and domestic violence is an epidemic I was propelled into seeking out healing.
I wrote the book Finding Angela Shelton about how making the movie changed my life forever and caused me to really look at my past and really heal from it.
Not only did I want to really heal (not just say I was healed) from my own past of sexual abuse and trauma, I wanted to discover and share ways for survivors of any kind of trauma to heal too.
The various healing techniques I now share on stage are helpful, hilarious, and healing.
Whether those in the audience need help getting past panic, anxiety, stress, insecurities, rage or fear – they will learn FUN ways to move forward while learning ways to end violence.
Enough trauma, we need some Giggle Therapy!
There are ALWAYS survivors in the audience whether it is a corporate event, a film festival, or a fundraiser.
You WILL be helping someone you never expected to by sharing healing.
My events are a healing extravaganza disguised as a comedy act.
Believe me – you could use a laugh – or thirty.
Do You Have a Slide Show?
Yes! At some events that have stages or all of the equipment to do a powerpoint or Mac keynote presentation, I share my slides.
I also have the cords that will go from the Mac to the PC, making a Keynote work. But I have powerpoint and keynote options.
