This was a symbolic moment so I’m sharing it. I’ll share a lot more once I get a new camera. (hint hint hint) I was leaving to catch a plane for Albany in the below video when I decided to take aim and fire at a soda can.
The sound is whack but you get to see me shoot a gun.
So you can watch and know what’s going on this is what I said:
This is a symbolic moment because that can out there represents a past of addictions. A dear friend of mine, you know who you are, was so addicted to that stuff it was crazy. I don’t think she ever drank water. She would drink that by the case. It also represents Anonymous’ favorite drink. And now I’m just gonna blow it up.
“Hurry up, I gotta catch a plane.”
For those of you who have seen my movie you know who Anonymous is. For those who haven’t, please get a copy, or go watch it for free. Anonymous inspired me to write my book. She drank a case of Busch Beer a night. A case! At the core of that addiction was a very harsh past of abuse by her father. She is the through-line narration of my documentary, Searching for Angela Shelton. You just never see her – that’s why she’s Anonymous.
So now that we’re in 2010 and the resolutions have been set, how are yours doing? What things in the past are you blowing up?
