For those of you in the LA area – here are some upcoming events at USC:

MONDAY, March 31st
‘SEX 101: A Sexual Health Fair’
11AM-2PM @ Tommy Trojan
Come and learn the ABC’s of safe, fun, consensual sex at the Annual
FMLA Sexual Health Fair. There will be games, free give aways, FREE
TROPICS YOGURT, tabling by the USC Center for Women and Men, HPPS, SWE
and Planned Parenthood. and performances by Reverse Osmosis, and SoCal
Vocals.

TUESDAY, April 1st
Day of Action: Support the International Violence Against Women Act
Violence Abroad Fair
11AM-2PM @ Tommy Trojan
Come and learn about violence against women around the globe and sign
our petition for the US Congress to pass the International Violence
Against Women Act that will increase funding and services to
organizations around the globe for women’s rights. There will be art
displays by local students and campus organizations, as well as FREE
TOGO’S.

Film Screening: ‘Searching for Angela Shelton’
Q&A with Director and TBTN Keynote Speaker Angela Shelton
7PM-9PM @ SGM 101
Come enjoy some FREE VIZTANGO and view this amazing documentary of
self discovery and survey of women in the US. On Angela Shelton’s
journey she discovered that nearly 40% of the women she met had been
molested, abused, or raped. She will be answering your questions on
her life, film, and book, Finding Angela Shelton, which will be
available for purchase.

WEDNESDAY, April 2nd
Sexual Assault Policy Teach-In
12:30PM – 1:30PM @ Gould School of Law Room 1 (Downstairs)
A panel discussion educating students on the USC Sexual Assault
Policy. Come and learn your rights as students and about USC‘s
policies and statistics about sexual assault and ways you can join the
fight to end sexual violence.

TAKE BACK THE NIGHT
5:30PM-12AM @ Tommy Trojan
Take Back the Night is an annual rally and protest against sexual
assault on our campus, in our communities and around the globe. Come
support the survivors of sexual assault as we Stand Up, Speak Out, and
Unite to end Sexual Violence.

5:30PM-Free give T-shirts and food, as well as special performances by
the Women’s Theater Organization, campus and community organizations,
and Men CARE.
8:00PM – Keynote Speaker Angela Shelton

10:00PM – Survivor Speak-Out

THURSDAY, April 3rd
Gender, Media, and Violence Panel Discussion
6:00PM – 7:30PM @ TSC 205
Enjoy a FREE SUNDAES and A panel discussion dealing with the images
of women and girls in the media, from images of sexualized girls and
the brutalization of women, to the unbalanced reporting of cases of
rape and domestic violence, how does media influence or affect gender
and violence against women.
