I just spent a few hours watching kid’s programming where I saw tons of ads for sexy female products! That made me sad. I know it’s meant for the moms but really? It made me think of all the little girls I meet who are obsessed with being the cover girl. Wonder where they get that from?
Why don’t we turn the tables over and tear down the walls of the house?
Have you ever sat and really watched what your kids are watching? Some of these shows are sending some really messed up messages. Nick Jr had some great stuff on though that taught kids new languages, gardening and ways to be eco-friendly. That made me happy.
I suggest sitting with your kids and watching what they watch and then discussing the ads too!
I’m not a mom (I have a lovely dog named Norma), but I know loads of moms and am around lots of kids (I am a superhero you know..) and I see that you moms need some playtime too! How about coloring while you’re kids color? Check out these coloring books for women! Finding these made me happy too!
