TRAUMA
is like being pierced with a sword.

Any kind trauma, from sexual abuse to neglect, is like a sword.

You can live like that, wounded.

It makes it hard to breathe.

It’s hard to cuddle.

It’s hard to fully LIVE your life.

OR you can choose to remove it, heal the wound, and then YOU have the sword!

Be Your Own Hero!

Hello! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Angela Shelton and I fully share my own healing journey so you can use what I learned to go faster.

Think of me as a HILARIOUS and HELPFUL tool in your HEALING toolbox.

I first began this journey while making my documentary Searching for Angela Shelton. I thought interviewing other Angela Sheltons was going to be FUNNY! When I discovered that 70% of the women who shared my name also shared a history of sexual abuse and violence in their lives, it not only forced me to go down the healing path myself but it lit a fire in me to help others.

I went on the road for over a decade interviewing over 30,000 survivors, trauma informed care workers, therapists, and healers. The most powerful healing techniques I discovered were ALL things you can do inside your head!

As we break the silence and the cycle of violence and abuse in our own lives, we alter the course of our stories and affect everyone around us in a more positive way.

Healing might not be easy at times, but there are easy ways to start the process and I make even the hard parts a little more fun!
